Game Summary:
You receive a call from your grandma saying she needs you to take over her boba shop as soon as possible! Once you accept, you're sent to the shop to make and deliver all the orders for that day. Avoid wrong ingredients and obstacles on the road to ensure a successful delivery. Collect coins on the road and from deliveries to upgrade your boba bus!
Game Controls:
To enter full screen, click the expand icon on the bottom right
- Buttons to click - ("Start!", "mute", "end day", "new day", "accept/deny", order sheet, etc)
- arrow keys to move car + space to shoot boba bullets
- drag and hold to make boba drinks (little timer will show up to hold until full)
- phone has instructions within the "boba book" button
Game Story:
The grandma character enters at the start and end of the day to give you her boba shop. The player then has to go about running the boba business, and all the things included within that. For example, making the drinks, delivering them, and upgrading your car!
Inspiration:
We started with the boba bus, wanting to do a racing game. Then we expanded from there to making and delivering the boba drinks, choosing the Boba Dash name based on Doordash. We also talked about Papa's Freezeria, taking inspiration on their drag and hold mechanisms.
About the Creators:
We all LOVE boba, hence the name and theme of our game. Aside from playing Minecraft and Roblox, our team loves to discuss other games we love and why we love them. We used a lot of these discussions to brainstorm mechanics and art for our game. We love to dream big, and create a game similar to those big wishes.
